What is custom cutting?

Custom cutting lets you pick the shape and style of stone you want along with the material! This means your stone can be custom made for your wants or for a specific setting!

Why should I get custom cutting?

We work with faceting software to determine optimal angles for designs and create custom gem diagrams, this means you get the best possible reflection, when compared to commercial faceting precision cutting is almost always higher quality!

How much does it cost?

Our pricing varies depending on size, material, and complexity of design, typical starting price for a 1 carat finished stone is $150.

Will you cut stones I've collected?

Absolutely! Facetable stones should be clear of any large fractures or inclusions that compromise the stones integrity. Typical stone yield is 20-30% or the starting weight, so if you want a 1 carat stone starting with a 3-5 carat rough is likely. If you have any questions or concerns reach out!

Do you offer Recutting?

Unfortunately, we don't currently offer recutting. We are working on setting it up soon though!

What stones do you not work with?

We work with stones mohs hardness 4 through 9.5, some notable exceptions I do not work with are spodumene and emerald as well as stones with dangerous heavy metal content. some other exceptions may apply for other stones, feel free to reach out for more info.
